Two GEs and a leased SD40-2 have approximately 7000 feet of train moving pretty good through Brooten. They would be slowed soon enough, though, first by waiting on a westbound at Murray, then by the WILD (Wheel Impact Load Detector) at MP 93.6 that flagged the fourth axle on the EMD. They would be restricted to 15 mph all the way to Eden Valley, where they would finally set out the offending locomotive before continuing on their way. It wouldn't have been so bad if there weren't two other eastbounds close behind them, another westbound in the siding at Paynesville, and a few track inspectors waiting for time.
