Remarks & Notes
The 'pointless arrow' commemoratively painted Amtrak P42DC 156 made a round trip from Albany to Montreal on Saturday, March 19, returning on the southbound Adirondack train 68-20 Sunday, March 20. The 68 is seen southbound across the South Bay of Lake Champlain with an ice fisherman more interested in his line than the passage of the unique locomotive and likely only trip over this line.

The Adirondack follows both the Hudson and the Lake Champlain shoreline on its leisurely trip between New York and Montreal. When it started, it was pulled by beautiful ALCO PAs purchased by Delaware & Hudson second-hand from the Santa Fe.
