Savage Bingham & Garfield Railway power is prepped to haul a train of ribbon rail from Midvale yard to Welby used in the construction of Utah Transit Authority's Mid-Jordan light rail route. By 2009, these former Santa Fe B36-7's were utilized as needed, to drag heavy rail trains up the Bingham Industrial Lead. Today, the two EMD GP38-2's are the mainstay of SB&G's nocturnal freight operations.
Coal and steel don't go bad. This album features long, slow, heavy freight trains; drag freights, slop freights, dead freights, etc. Trains with lots of power, and lots of different cargo slogging along behind.
