| After the WC bought the former CNW ore lines from UP they found themselves even shorter on power than during a normal winter(which was always problematic for WC). A few of the UP SD40-2's and GP40's that had been assigned to Upper Michigan stayed through the winter of 97 working SORE jobs and the Iron Mountain area. It made for some interesting train watching for a few months. This SORE2 is powered by UP 3948 and WC 6594 as it works loads south of Little Lake. |
