End of the line. Not often you find new trackage on a mainline built within the last year. The south tail track of Hagans Switchback has been extended to allow for no doubling of the trains as in decades past, saving time and supposedly money in the long run. I can attest to the time savings, as an mty from the Clinchfield backed into the tail track without being cut in half, then eased north thru the tunnel while probably shaving off twenty minutes. Back to the coalfields of Harlan County!
