Remarks & Notes
Alco's here, there, and everywhere! C628's 6730,6715,6707 roll loads east, while 6708,6709,6710 cool there heels in the siding at Brampton. After CNW removed the siding at Maple Ridge(just north of Rock) meets between ore trains operating from Escanaba-Empire Mine could only be made at Brampton and Little Lake. Creative dispatching normally minimized delays and a number of times 2-3 eastbound loads would fleet up only about 15-30 minutes apart while an empty sat out a meet with all of them. After the late 70's recessions this normally wasn't a concern as fewer movements were necessary.
