An extremely light TOFC hotshot No. 275 was rolling through Ashland, VA on a snowy Jan. 5, 1980. Beautiful homes, like the one to the left, line the RF&P through the town. No. 275 was light, not because of problems on the railroad, but because the storm had dumped so much snow in Northern Virginia, the truckers couldn't get the trailers to the ramp at Potomac Yard.
