Remarks & Notes
A Union Pacific unit sulfuric acid train ascends the Cherry Hill grade at Burton Lane in Kaysville, Utah. This train was interchanged with the Kennecott Copper Corporation at Garfield, Utah and will be shipped to the Pocatello, Idaho area for use in the production of fertilizer. The OGDEO-13 is set up 2x1 DPU with 50 loads, 0 empties, 6476 tons and is 2403 feet in length. Power for the train includes GE AC4400CW-CTE units 5596, 5611, and 5592. The nearby slopes of the Wasatch Front belie the fact that the first day of summer is only five weeks away.
