| Here's a fine example of the flexibility of two main tracks and CTC. At left, a grain shuttle is on the move from North Yard on main 1 while an Ogden to SLC intermodal rolls west through SLC on main 2. The grain train would take main 1 all the way to Smelter Jct. where it would enter the Shafter Sub (former WP) to Northern California while the intermodal would take track 2 to the LM Bryan intermodal ramp at 56th West and tie up for the day. |
