It's a couple hours before the evening rush hour on a late January afternoon, and Park Street has that sleepy winter feel. The passengers on the platform wear heavy coats, unzipped in the warm station. Nobody's in a particular hurry to get anywhere. Trains come and trains go, and people make their ways through the system. An Ashmont train is rolling out of the station while passengers wait for Braintree and Alewife trains. In an hour all three platforms including the island one pictured here will be flooded with people in a hurry to get home. For now, however, it's a late afternoon on a winter day and people are enjoying just being anywhere except outdoors in the cold and blowing snow.
