| NB-41 switches cars in the compact Rutherford Yard on a frigid winter morning. So much has changed in this view. Local freight service on NJ Transit's Main/Bergen Lines is now handled by Norfolk Southern. Rutherford "yard" (it wasn't more than a track or two) is now a distant memory. Yet the former Erie BJ Tower remains intact, used by NJ Transit maintenance personnel. |
