Gorham, Illinois's annual Darwin Days celebration was held on June 4th, 2011 and attendance was well over a hundred folks. Kidding aside, UP was in full control of the situation with security on hand, radios bustling and smiles all around. The event was part of UP's "Great Excursion Adventure" and drew huge crowds at each and every whistle stop along the route, despite temperatures over 100 degrees. Gorham, IL had a high turnout likely due to the fact that #844 arrived in the middle of the day and made a 1/2 hour service stop here. Thanks UP, you done good!
