Remarks & Notes
I made the 80 mile trip east from my home in eastern Utah to the Deseret Power Railway’s loader in western Colorado yesterday. I was hoping to catch their freshly painted, ex NdeM unit, but it was not to be. DPR 4, the freshly painted unit, was nowhere to be seen. Perhaps it was inside the shop building. For a look at it see Dave Honan’s RP image #368330 to see what the repaint looks like. The painting continues and soon all 4 active E60’s should have fresh paint and that new name on the side; Deseret Power Railway. So to keep the day from being completely wasted I took a few shots of the coal loading process from a different perspective than I have done before. In this photo the train is over half loaded as it slowly works its way around the loading loop.
