| Captured just before a big thundershower turned this dry desert community into mud, a Salt Lake City to Denver passenger special arrives at Helper for a crew change. The UP 6936 certainly looks out of place in Rio Grande Country, but who's complaining? Certainly not the photographer who savored the experience. Utah Railway's Martin Yard is visible on the hillside behind the old D&RGW era searchlight signal bridge. |
