Remarks & Notes |
Please don't discount the "flipside" of the C&TS. In many ways the experience is the most authentic of the three ex-D&RGW trips. The scenery starts out stark and evolves into spectacular. The train rocks along without a lot of superfluous whistling and nonsense. Yep, I napped on the way back, but it was a great nab, a hundred years ago. The staff was most cordial and the turkey and dressing at Osier was actually delicious. Does that sound like an ordinary "scenic" railroad. |
