Remarks & Notes
A former Erie Lackawanna E8, now a part of the Conrail numbering scheme, sits in the engine house at South Amboy awaiting its next call for a run to Bay Head. This was a "bad luck" unit. It was one of the last E8s working the Hoboken to Port Jervis run before being replaced with U34CHs. It had worked the Conrail Cleveland to Youngstown train (until it was dropped). Then it worked the Chicago to Valparaiso Conrail commuter (I think until it was dropped). Then it showed up in South Amboy - luckily having lost its evil mojo.
