With less than four locomotives on the CSX roster still in Conrail painted and less than a half a dozen in YN1, this C40-8 is on borrowed time as she idles as the trailing unit on eastbound Q302. She's managed to escape the paint job, despite passing the Huntington Locomotive Shops earlier in her run, however I suspect during her next 92 day inspection, she'll join her brothers and sisters in a clean, "dark future" paint scheme. As of December 2011, CSXT 7587 remains as the last locomotive to feature CSX's "Stealth" paint scheme.
Looking back down memory lane at the last generation of GE spartan cab which includes the six axles C series and four axles B series throughout the various of Class 1 Railroads in North America throughout the years.
