Amtrak Pacific Surfliner #784 is due to depart Fullerton, California, at 5:40 pm. But, due to delays north of Los Angeles, the train is running a little late - arriving in Fullerton at 6:25. Thanks to a tip from RP.net member Charles Freericks (who saw the train in L.A.), I was able to grab this shot of the train, led by F59PHI 457 in a new Operation Lifesaver wrap. Knowing the 457 was on the point caused me to search out an angle to shoot, whereas I might otherwise have concentrated on a westbound due at about this time because it had the "better" light. In retrospect, I like this light much better! (Thanks, Charles!)
