It is a glorious fall day along Turnagain Arm south of Anchorage, Alaska. The fall colors dot the mountainside as a lengthy train off the barge in Whittier heads north at aptly named, at least in this view, Rainbow.
Coal and steel don't go bad. This album features long, slow, heavy freight trains; drag freights, slop freights, dead freights, etc. Trains with lots of power, and lots of different cargo slogging along behind.
