| Burlington Northern train # 699 glides through Mohler, WA enroute to Wenatchee in the dead of winter in semi arid eastern Washington. 53699 or just 699 as it was referred to handled all the local & industry business between Spokane & Wenatchee on this former Great Northern mainline on an out one day and back the next routine. Seen here the train is operating Westward on Double Track with the current of traffic territory. On its eastward return trip to Spokane the crew may very well pick the grain hoppers adjacent to the Eastward Main on the spur track next to the elevator. |
