Remarks & Notes
Portrait of a Veteran Starting out life on the Santa Fe as ATSF 6388 in 1979 and one of 69 B23-7 models on Santa Fe’s roster, this 2250 hp beauty from GE has seen it all. From running freight in the mountains of southern California to the flat lands of the Midwest and even wearing the ill-fated Kodachrome Santa Fe paint, the 4245 has certainly been around. Now she finds herself in Nashville working for the Nashville and Western Railroad Corp and pictured resting at that railroad’s yard on Herman Street during a sunny afternoon in the fall.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
