In the blue gloom of a winter evening's twilight, the headlights of an eastbound stack train illuminate the west portal and interior of Cascade Tunnel. Ahead, pierced only by the light carried by the train, lie 7.8 miles of absolute darkness deep below the summit of Stevens Pass.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
