It seemed after the Southern Pacific Santa Fe merger was denied by the ICC in July 1986, the Santa Fe couldn't repaint their fleet of 'Kodachrome' units fast enough. At Cosnino, a now defunct painted duo of C30-7s lead a priority piggyback train through the Coconino National Forest area east of Flagstaff. The highest point in the state of Arizona is visible from this perspective with Humphrey's Peak of the San Francisco Peaks rising to meet the azure Arizona sky at some 12,633 feet above sea level (Cosnino's Elevation is 6,466 ft.)
