Ex-Southern Warriors at Night: I got lucky. Normally, the NS Greenville District does not operate on an approach-lit basis. However, due to a substation fire earlier in the month, Duke Energy scheduled a power outage for 2:30AM on the 18th. I made my way trackside as this would be a perfect opportunity to avoid light pollution and weird color casts of nearby streetlights. An hour and twenty minutes later, I was seven minutes into an eight minute exposure, when the power returned. The signals cut on, and two seconds later, I ended the exposure. I'd say it turned out nicely.
An ongoing/growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome, but seldom seen beauty of railroads because most of us don't go out after sundown or before sunrise. From dusk to dawn, lights are on! (And I continue to find new "Lights In The Night"!)
