Remarks & Notes
The snow has arrived early after the "Summer Of Love",and enhances the scene as class 47 no. D1936 heads North out of Gloucester with a Cardiff to Newcastle express. This whole area has been totally transformed in the intervening years - all the railway to the left and behind the train has now gone. This was Gloucester Eastgate station, now an Asda Walmart supermarket. The tower of Gloucester Cathedral can just be seen in the distance.
