| A train that I probably wouldn't have bothered with five years earlier was this westbound. Clouds were filling the sky, but by late 1979 the handwriting was on the wall for the Soo F-unit fleet. Quite a few of the old warriors had already left the roster and more GP38-2 F killers were on the way. So when this job departed Trout Lake with 212B,502C along with 72 cars I gave chase. Just west of Gilchrist I was able to put the train and the sun together for about 45 seconds. Some day's that is all it takes! |
