With the crossing gates down and a clear track ahead, NH&I #40 charges across Reader Road late one evening on a special excursion to Lahaska, PA. I had actually hoped to backlight this shot but couldn't quite figure out where to place the lights without having them in the scene or casting shadows on the train - that and the overhead wires were playing havoc with the remotes. In the end, I went for this more standard view which I think has a character all it's own.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
