Westbound B&O train OBSS (Orange Blossom Special South) was passing over Thomas Viaduct in Relay, MD on Jan. 17, 1987. Because RF&P was equipped with Automatic Train Control, a RF&P unit on that railroad. Power was swapped out at Acca Yard in Richmond, and RF&P power was used in the lead between Richmond and Kearny, NJ on OBSN and OBSS.
