| The CNW always kind of reminded me of a PRR of the mid-west, not as far as profits went but in the terms of motive power. The CNW seemed to have tried nearly every unit that just about anyone produced. The list was long and varied and like the nearby Milwaukee Road FM's were usually found scattered all over Wisconsin and Upper Michigan patrolling CNW rails. Here the 1059 works at Fond du Lac in a slide that has been in my collection with no photographer listed. |
