| PC was mired in red ink almost from the start and the huge fleet of motive power from just about every builder that ever assembled a locomotive probably did little to help the situation. Power that was, even by 1970's standards, long in the tooth tended to exist on PC long after most other Class 1's had retired similar units. Here is RS-1 9907 at Phillipsburg in a photo from my collection with no photographer listed on the slide. |
