| A Rio Grande SW1000 shares terminal space with Steam Generator car 250 at the Roper diesel shop. Lurking in the background on the fuel/sanding track is a brace of Southern Pacific EMDs, prepped to haul a transfer run north from Salt Lake City to Ogden. Note the vast open space beyond the yard, which today is built up with various industries east to the Interstate 15 freeway corridor. |
