Drift buster Wisconsin Central GP35 No. 4007 and a former C&NW GP7 are busting drifts on the former Fox River Valley line through Rockfield, Wisconsin, after a snowstorm on January 30, 1996. This line was plugged with drifts, and a former C&NW manager now with the WC decided they would open the line with a extra like they used to; get a couple of locomotives, tie the horn down and run like hell through the snow. It worked. They didn’t need no stinkin’ plow! And yes, I did get hit with snow several times.
