Westbound Detroit, Toledo & Ironton freight train passing the Michigan Central station in downtown Detroit, Michigan, on September 5, 1976. The station was built in 1912-13 and remained in use until 1988. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975 but currently needs significant restoration work.
