Located on the shores of Lake Superior, Northshore Mining operates a taconite processing facility. After delivering a string of taconite rock loads for the crusher, NSM 655, 656 and 657 prepare to leave the yard with the empties that are available and return them inland 47 miles to the mine at Babbitt, MN to get another string of loads and make the return trip back here to keep the process running 24/7/365.
