Morning meet on the Conrail
At 6:06 a.m. during a humid and hazy dawn on July 1, 1990, two Conrail trains meet at speed at Chesterton, Indiana. The westbound TV487 intermodal train meets an eastbound steel coil unit train on the busy former New York Central double track main line.
