Even running through the lush Maine woods WW&F steam crew work hard to run with a moderately clean stack, but on special occasions, exceptions are made. The maiden run of the railroad's newest piece of rolling stock, boxcar No 65, a museum-built reproduction wooden milk car was one such recent exception.
