A little red, white and blue . . . an eastbound Burlington Northern coal train snakes through the curves at Sully Springs, North Dakota, on June 29, 1994. The train is led by specially-painted SD60M No. 1991 to honor U.S. troops serving in Operation Desert Storm in the Gulf War. A large seal of the United States graced the mostly white front of the locomotive. On the sides were large 11’ x 6’ oval logos that included words reading “Pulling For Freedom” and “Supporting Our Troops.”
Displays of American pride, and spirit! Equipment painted Red, White, and Blue! With an honored salute and tribute to our veterans and troops added too! Patriots can still be found to join this gathering of Patriotic Pride!
