Remarks & Notes |
NJT "dual mode" 4505 shoves train 1009's consist into Hoboken Terminal. This train will soon depart westbound for Lake Hopatcong via the Boonton Line. Lower Manhattan can be seen in the distance across the Hudson River. One World Trade Center continues to take shape and is now (as of April 30, 2012) the tallest building in New York. The structure seen at the extreme center right side of the image is one of the ventilation towers for the Holland Tunnel. Remains of various Lackawanna Railroad piers can be seen between the terminal area and the ventilator. |
