N&W Train 5, operating between Bluefield, W. Va. and Norton, Va., crosses trestle #1398 three miles from Coeburn, Va. in fall colors on Oct. 28, 1956. Class E2a 578 is one of two Pacific 4-6-2's surviving on the N&W (No. 563 was the other, both used on the Norton run.)
