A relatively short SU-99 is led by a pair of Susquehanna SD60s (3800-3808). Most of the 99's trip up until this point was under cloudy skies, but by the time the train reached the northwestern corner of Morris County the sky had completely cleared. Note the large number of rebuilt GATX Airslide hoppers on the head end of the train which now serve as Norfolk Southern C&D cars (construction & demolition debris). Susquehanna originates quite a bit of C&D traffic out of northern New Jersey. |
