The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway is a heritage line in the heart of the beautiful Cotswolds. Unfortunately in 2011 In January 2011, the railway was damaged by a landslip, just east of Winchcombe station. The slip effectively severed the railway in two, and no services could be run. The estimated cost of the repair work is £850,000. To raise the money, a Diesel service has been running from Toddington up to the extension at Laverton, and steam trains are running from Winchcombe to Cheltenham Racecourse (while the slip is currently being repaired). Here we see the diesel Class 122 (affectionally known as a "Bubble Car") waiting at the very picturesque Toddington station for its next service on 9th August 2012.
