| A 10 hour layover while flying back to the states following a deployment in Southeast Asia provided me with a chance to check off a major item on any railfan's bucket list; ride Japan's Shinkansen. The total grade separation and limited curvature demanded by such fast trains limits photography in urban areas to wedgies off station platforms. I wish I had more time to get out to the more open rural areas, but I'm not complaining! |
