Westbound coal empties head over the Meramec River on a late summer afternoon. Soon the trees will be turning color here, but with the brutal summer we have had, that color will probably be brown. Unfortunately the location only allows for two units to be shot. The fourth unit in the consist was UP 1982.
Jedburgh is one of those mysterious places. Not many know about it. Go to Jedburgh, and you will find Jedberg Lane. Send a letter to there, and you used to address it to Sherman, MO. Now it goes through the Ballwin post office. Does Jedburgh really exist? Who knows, but the scenery is good for rail pics, and Sherman Beach Park has some nice walking trails.
