Remarks & Notes
Due to heavy snow accumulation along Rio Grande's Pleasant Valley Branch, a crew was called on a sunny March 6, 1983 to clear the line. Jordan Spreader X-40 (blt. 1957) is working the yard tracks at the Valley Camp mine, two miles south of Scofield. The crew is all smiles for the camera on this picture perfect 'Kodachrome' morning in the Wasatch. It's time to queue up Paul Simon's hit song from 1973.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
