In a view at Lodo (lower downtown) Denver from the 18th Street pedestrian bridge over Colorado’s Joint Line, a BNSF transfer with a long cut of coal hoppers passes by the end of RTD light rail line to Union Station. This area is in a constant state of change lately, as construction continues at this popular location in the Denver area. The train is powered by three “Heritage 1” SD40-2s (Nos. 1826, 1600 and 1700), and is meeting a northbound manifest waiting to get into 31st St. Yard.
