Passing the EAS at WS Cabin, west of the White Sulphur Springs Station, Amtrak's eastbound Cardinal reduces from track speed, preparing to observe the station stop. Fall colors are near peak in higher elevations, pictured here just five miles from the top of the grade at Alleghany.
