Remarks & Notes
Montana Rail Link Engineer Ralph Mackey takes MRL's Gas Local up the 10th Subdivision west of Missoula near Nagos. The train is down to 6.2 miles per hour, and will stall in just a few minutes. The crew unplugged the m.u. cables between the two locomotives (SD70ACe and SD45), and ran them independently, and made it up the 2.2 percent grade without any further delay.
