A Santa Fe SD45/SD40-2 combo lead a seven car Utah Railway RUT310 local from Midvale bound for Provo Yard. Utah Railway became a contract switcher for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway after the UP-SP merger in 1996. The early years of this partnership brought together an interesting variety of power.
