An eastbound BN freight from Vancouver, Wash, has turned south across Celilo lift bridge and Columbia River to enter Oregon, headed down the Deschutes Canyon and Bend, Ore. A mixture of power -- 6525 SD45, 2504 GP35, 5712 U33C and a WP GP35.
The Oregon Trunk, the route most well known for the Deschutes Railroad War, still sees BNSF-and at times detouring UP-traffic today. This album covers all images taken along the line between Celilo and Chemult, Oregon.
