An eastbound intermodal train drops downgrade on Tehachapi Pass at Warren Curve near Mojave, California, on March 8, 1996. Leading the train is venerable Santa Fe EMD SD45 No. 5387, along with a pair of colorful GE C44-9Ws; a far-from-home Chicago and North Western “lightning stripe” No. 8660 and a home-road Superfleet Warbonnet No. 638.
